President Obama recently made a political address on his website to help re-energize African American voters, Latino voters, and women for 2010.

I am going to roll out my good friend truth to break this down. It may be a little simple, but it tends to make liars out of those who are not in sync with it.
Here we go….
Obama: Despite the challenges we inherited, we have made great progress.
Truth: Really? What progress is that may I ask? Remember Mr. President what you inherited you helped put into place under Bush. In 2006, Bush was able to get the deficit down to $296 billion. When the Democrats took control in January of 2007, things went up. By summer of 2008, the deficit ballooned to $482 billion with bipartisan support, but Obama didn’t vote on Bush and the Democrats’ 2008 Stimulus bill because he wanted more incentives to go to people who don’t pay taxes. Remember, Obama was an active senator that had power and influence in the last 4 years of the Bush presidency. Obama strongly supported and voted for the $700 billion bailout, and tried to talk Bush into starting the efforts to bail out the auto industry. And yet, as president, what progress is there? Things have gotten way worse since President Bush left office.
Obama: When I took office, our economy was in crisis. Our standing in the world was diminished. Our health care system wasn’t working for far too many American families. Many people wondered why it seemed like bad behavior on Wall Street was being rewarded, while hard work on Main Street wasn’t.
Truth: The economy is actually worse off than when Obama took office. It has significantly shrinked since Obama’s excessive new regulations, mandates, and higher taxes were imposed on many businesses, both small and big. Every time Obama talks to Wall Street, the dow drops significantly. From hard experience in the work force, it feels like the “angel of economic death” is roaming about, looking for who he will devour next. As for bad behavior on Wall Street, why is it Wall Street’s fault? Your guys are buying and trading on Wall Street. Obama is approving these bonuses since he is in control of these companies. There are many laws enacted that would make it illegal for Wall Street business executives to launder money, but Obama’s people are in control, yet he’s trying to exploit your ignorance of Wall Street matters so it appears as though those “greedy, no good, fat cat capitalists” are “out of control.” They don’t have the power and authority to do what they’re doing unless he is allowing it to happen. Also, on the other hand, why are those most instrumental in the financial collapse of 2008 serving under Obama now? If it really was about bad behavior, wouldn’t it be wise to punish them? Why did you appoint them to serve under your administration knowing their roles in the 2008 financial collapse that you supposedly “inherited”? Even this new “financial reform bill” as it is called was crafted by Chris Dodd, the man who was caught red-handed in the Countrywide Corruption Scandal…

… is filled with language that will encourage more bailouts. Okay, so you have Chris Dodd who not only was caught, but publically decided not to run for re-election in 2010 because his standing in the liberal state of Connecticut is shot entirely. Yet, we’re trusting him to write legislation that will lead to more bailouts in the future? Something really stinks here.
Obama: Because of you, we are making the change that our nation so desperately needs. We have passed historic health reform legislation. We have put our nation back on the path to prosperity with the Recovery Act. And we are moving America forward, one step at a time.
Truth: Obama, Pelosi, and Reid forced health care legislation which pays back lobbyists and incorporates them to perform services for the Federal Government. Where is this prosperity we hear so much about? I had to search hard for the information because the activist media so loyal to Obama is not mentioning it, but the unemployment rate shot up to 10.2% and the real unemployment, if you include handymen, private contractors, small business owners, is over 20%. 10.2% of unemployed individuals just happen to be collecting unemployment benefits. The rest are being taken care of through their families, food pantries, and charities to be able to survive. The market is not hiring. This is reminiscent of the late 70’s when Jimmy Carter was in power. Are we really moving forward, or are we back to 1978? Get your disco shoes out of your closets folks, and pump up the 8 track system. We’re going in a time warp.
This is the part of the address that struck gold with me.
Obama: It will be up to each of you to make sure that the young people, African Americans, Latinos, and women, who powered our victory in 2008 stand together once again.
Truth: Obama needs you guys. He’s screwed over the elderly big time with his euthanasia-styled health care plan. He has screwed over those who work for a living by forcing policies that will keep them out of work. And what has he actually done for African Americans, Latinos, and women?
African-Americans:
In late February or early March, I was with a friend of mine and we were driving to a restaurant to eat. Then standing on the street corner was an African-American man walking up and down 75th street and Lemont Road asking for change, and wearing a sign on his back that said, “Obama is a cracker,” with the president’s picture printed on the back. I was literally shocked. My brother told me that some of his co-workers who happen to be African American do not like Obama and are standing up for George W. Bush, saying that he was a good man. I think that if Barack Obama actually cared about African-American workers, he would work to give them the economic environment to thrive and prosper. It will never be reported by the activist media, but President Bush’s economic policies (with a Republican Congress) benefitted African-Americans who decided to be entrepreneurs. Booker T. Washington had it right when he said, “Political activity alone cannot make a man free. Back of the ballot, he must have property, industry, skill, economy, intelligence, and character.” We Conservatives encourage this behavior, and we don’t like to divide people into racial groups for we sincerely believe that all individuals are created equal under the sovereignty of God. But because the president addressed African-Americans, Latinos, and women and “cut them out” as separate groups, I feel that sharing these facts are worthy to be mentioned.
Latinos:
Why did Latinos support Barack Obama in 2008? How have they gained and benefitted? Well in this area, I am going to focus on illegal immigration, because Obama has allowed more illegal aliens to pour into the country, at the peril of all legal U.S. citizens and take (in an already limited work force) jobs away from legal, taxpaying Americans as well. Most African Americans are not supportive of this illegal immigrant push at because they know that they will be screwed over even more as they could be replaced at their job to make space for illegal aliens who Obama needs the support of in 2010 and for his re-election campaign in 2012.
Women:
Why did women support Barack Obama in 2008? Aside from his enthusiastic, motivational speaker type demeanor, Obama romanced women (much like Bill Clinton did during his presidency) and strategically crafted his rhetoric to convince women that he would turn the economy around, initiate policies that would be friendly to families, and put forth policies that would help their children. I remember well that Obama garnished a significant majority of votes from single moms who felt that Obama would aide them in raising their kids. But I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. I don’t understand where the new “equal pay for equal work” laws benefit. Those laws were enacted in the late 1960’s/early 1970’s, and I don’t ever hear those old protests being re-done.
Obama: It will be up to each of you to keep our nation moving forward; to keep working to fix Washington; to keep growing our economy – and to keep building a fairer, stronger, and more just America. If you help us do that – if you help us make sure that first-time voters in 2008 make their voices heard again in November – then together we will deliver on the promise of change, and hope, and prosperity for generations to come. Thanks.
Truth: We know that it’s up to us to keep the nation moving forward, but the nation cannot move forward if government keeps butting in and placing more restrictions, more stresses, and more financial challenges on Americans. It does depend on us to keep working to fix Washington. That’s why we need to vote these corrupt, self-serving, defiant, and forceful politicians out of office in November, and elect those who respect our rights as individuals, and not subject us to something that in the long-run take away our individual liberties. We would like to grow our economy, but this president and Congress keep throwing more and more hurdles in our way. Do you really want this to continue? We Americans have been subjected to policies that have made America more unfair, weaker, and unjust. Come November it will have been 2 years since America elected Barack Obama. The question is, do you want to lose even more of what you have left? Mid-term elections are referendums on a president's overall job performance. If the people are satisfied and want more, they go in the direction of the president. If the people are not satisfied, and have had enough, they want to go in the opposite direction of the president. With the light of truth exposing what really is, do we really want to keep moving in the direction in which everything gradually continues to get worse, while being told what he perceives things to be?
