Things look gloomy. It is very difficult not to maintain a dark, cynical, or sinister outlook on things. At a time when the world’s economic system is collapsing, people are losing their jobs by the hundreds of thousands, rogue nations are gearing up for what will soon be the makings of another World War, and when people are more divided than ever, hating each other with a passion, or treating them like they are of no value, one gets to a point where they ask themselves, what is the cause of today’s misery? The answer to this question my friends, is man’s heart, and man’s heart is full of sin. Selfishness is the motive for which sin is executed. We want to do our will over God’s will, and therefore as a consequence, we by our own free will break through God’s laws with deep defiance, and brush Him aside as if we are the ones who overpower Him. Some people who are governed by their own selfish motives even go as far as to claim there is no God, so that they mentally escape any forms of accountability and Judgment.
If God made man without sin, would we have all the misery that we have in the world now? Yes. Why? Because God did originally create man without sin. So, what’s the problem then? God created man with a thing called free will, and by free will, man chose accommodate his own wants and interests, and in so doing, disobeyed God. It’s as simple as that. And so this concept repeats, and repeats and repeats, even in organized functions that man designs. I don’t care who you are, Christian or non-Christian, man is corruptible, and corrupts.
What we are witnessing today is a massive scale of consequences, collected from all avenues of life, choosing this particular moment in time to unload all of its spoilage. All of what you see and hear could have been avoided, but man’s heart will still remain the same.
This concept can be applied to all stages of life. It can be applied to the international political climate, a nation’s political climate, the conditions at your work, the conditions of your love life, and so on and so forth. This truth will never change because man will never change his nature…. Unless he reaches to a point where he hits rock bottom and desires to change his heart. Only one can change a person’s nature, and that is God. Change is a word we have heard a lot of lately, and a changed heart can consequently produce a set of changed results.
A man full of himself will never give of himself. You can take that to the bank. But a man with a changed heart will by his own free will see a value in others and consider others before himself. That is the mystery of the nature of a changed heart. When Jesus came to earth, he wasn’t full of himself. Sure, he identified himself as the Son of God, but he never was full of himself. He was never as many paintings portray him. He never came to earth with a halo hovering on the top of His head, sticking his hands out, glorifying himself. Instead, he was a servant who served others, and gave all the glory to his father, not himself.
A change of heart is something someone has to seek by his own free will. If you would like to change you heart, I recommend that you ask Christ in your heart today. Don’t put it off. You may never ever get another chance again. Life can end abruptly. He will come to whoever calls him. If you talk to him directly, without any middle man, and are sincere in your desire for a changed heart, God will see that longing, and only at your request, He will change it.
Dear Lord Jesus. I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe that you died for my sins on the cross and rose again, conquering death. Lord, I want to turn from my sins with your help. I ask that you now come into my heart and life. I trust you as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus name, Amen.
Romans 10:9-13
9That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." 12For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
When someone asks Christ into their life, God is pleased. He wants you to be part of the Kingdom He is assembling. Of course man’s control over things will fall (as we are seeing each and every day), and God’s Kingdom will relieve man’s failure.
Change is coming to those who seek Christ as their savior, and once they embrace it, their entire outlook on life will change. The Holy Spirit will get involved, and teach you. All of a sudden, before you know it, you will have a sense of peace that no man could ever match. Now that’s change you can bet your soul on.
2 Corinthians 5:17-18
17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 18All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:
Sin separated man from God, but once you accept Christ, you reconcile yourself with God, and you establish a back and forth relationship with Him, with the REAL HIM. He begins to communicate to you by inserting answers to tough questions and thoughts, and you will know it is Him when all of a sudden you get insights that are far beyond your mental capability. He wants you. Do you want Him, or are you satisfied enough with the misery that surrounds you? The choice falls on you, and only you.
