You know, it’s interesting how things don’t always turn out the way you would like them to. For a few days in late May, early June (including our anniversary date—June 1st), this board was inoperable due to a fire in Texas, and many internet servers were affected by that fire. So, this held back my annual anniversary post. Then, I had multiple projects to do both for my website, for my Church (where I lead a Thursday Night Study), and in preparing a new demo for a radio show I seek to produce.
The 2007-2008 year has been a busy one, yet one with accomplishments. Since my last anniversary post, I cited that I wanted to open two new posts. One of them is called the “Useful Information” post and it has been useful in educating people on how and what to do in making decisions. I have used this post in my domestic life as well. It definitely serves its purpose as being useful, and I couldn’t be happier with how that idea turned out. The other goal for the fourth year was to open the RWC PRODUCTIONS post, but some of the featured material made exclusively for that post was put on hold due to the demand for other posts and their priorities. In other words, how could I spend all my time writing scripts when people need information regarding this or that?
Other than that, we have had a great year.
Now, I must give you our mission statement regarding this website and the categories we release.
Politics:
I love America. More so, I love the America our founding fathers envisioned, an America which invented a system in which we could have the power to govern ourselves, be anything we want to be, and prosper, living out the American dream. Now, some might read my posts and think that I am a staunch Republican. I am a Conservative. I believe in the conservation of the U.S. Constitution, and am Conservative to the ideals in that document. They have worked. Liberals, as is their nature, are more flexible on leaving those ideals open to “interpretation,” which always results in their being able to justify doing whatever they want… meaning that the more liberal they are towards the Constitution, the more they resurrect the tyrannical environment for which an emperor ruled over the people rather than allow for the people to rule themselves.
Faith:
I say it without any shame. I am a born-again Christian, and I am not afraid to defend my Faith because my soul not only feels that it is the right one, but I have a sense of peace and fulfillment every time I draw nearer to God. I am not a religious wacko. In fact, I am not very thrilled with religion in general. The first church was not even a building, but a movement in which Peter and Paul went around simply explaining what they saw first hand (the resurrection), and explaining how the sacrifice of Jesus Christ (the son of God) unravels God’s true nature and reveals God’s grace. No other force has freed as many slaves as Christianity has. No other force has brought down proud rulers and brought up humble ones. No other force has shown those who think they are the smartest people on earth as what they really are; fools with large egos and self-righteousness. No other force offers hope, salvation, and eternal life, and most of all, keeps all of its promises the way Christianity does.
Entertainment:
I love movies. I love TV shows. I love radio, books, and so forth, but I write mostly about TV and movies. There have been some monumental screen gems released within the past 4 years, and we have discussed many of them throughout this period of time. Entertainment is a break from all the hubbub of our stress-filled lives and provides us with something to laugh at, something to sit in awe at, and something to think about. There will continue to be movies released this year, next year, and the year after that I want to go and see. There will also be TV shows released on DVD that I want to see as well, and would like to see soon.
Health, Psychology:
There is this one passage in the Bible, which states, “my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).” The reality of this is so true in many different areas, two of which lie within the realm of bodily health, and psychological health. When one is mentally down, it can affect the whole structure of the mind, body, and spirit. When one eats unhealthy, his body will suffer greatly. When a person makes a decision and is unaware of what they’re REALLY getting themselves into, the problems resulting from that decision can rob you from the peace that is on its way. You cannot enjoy it because you are too distracted by the lasting impact from those bad decisions. My goal for the psychology section was originally to provide understanding towards certain motives and behaviors. My goal for health has always been to arm you with information destined to prolong your life.
If I were to promote the Making Sense Message Board, how would I promote it? First of all, I would say that it is a site you can trust. I know how to do my homework, and in so doing, I data mine all the time. That means that I classify and organize the material I gather, check out the raw nature of the stuff I am researching, and use history and context to provide clarity... a trait not seen often enough today. From that clarity, I hope to build the base to conduct an informed decision, and make the things interesting so that people will want to learn more about the content I am writing about.
Folks, it’s all about you because you make up the fabric of this nation. If I were president, I wouldn’t want my people to be ignorant, dumb, and hopeless. I would like my people smart, knowledgeable, hopeful, happy, and prosperous. That is exactly the mission I seek to achieve every time I write an article on this board. When I want to find something out, I go to the library to find out what I can’t always find out on the internet. When I want to find exclusive material, I subscribe to websites where I can obtain the information for the subject desired. All in all, when I post these things, I seek to level the playing field by sharing what I know with you, because if you the reader are informed, and you pass it on, then those readers will be informed, and over time, you will have an informed nation much to the peril of selfish politicians, Godless despots, and greedy businesses that would rather exploit one’s ignorance to further their own selfish ambitions.
All in all, thank you for visiting and I hope that you will continue to visit as we continue our mission.
Thanks Again,
Rob W. Case
