I am sure (or at least, I hope) you heard by now that Obama is fudging his unemployment numbers so that it appears as though he has control of the unemployment rate. In other words, he is attempting to manufacture artificial success. He is doing this by adding hundreds of thousands of government gigs (I call them gigs, because gigs are temporary jobs that last until a single service is complete). On his campaign organizing website, Obama boasts that the “…Numbers Show Fifth Straight Month of Growth.” This is being passed off as success in Obama’s favor. But what is really happening? I’ll explain it to you. The private sector, the sector of the economy that is literally the life blood of the country and the government’s revenue, simply tacked on more debt and economic stress to fund the public sector (service that is supported by Federal dollars) in order to craft the illusion that an economic recovery is taking place. The media boasted in early June that 431,000 new jobs were created, but 411,000 were due to counting for the census, while only 41,000 positions were created in the private sector. In other words, if these economic numbers were blood cells, then Lady Liberty would be diagnosed with an acute case of anemia.
And yet, what are 411,000 census workers supposed to do to eat up the time? Well, from people simply explaining their experiences, I think we can add two and two together. For example, one particular Illinois resident who completed the census and mailed it back was visited once again by a census worker, and was re-asked the questions he had answered in the census that he mailed back. But this time, he was also asked questions about his neighbors. This individual was both taken back, and angry at the same time, especially since he hated answering the questions the first time and didn’t like it, and was then asked questions about his neighbors, which violates their own privacy and security. When I heard of this individual’s story, I went to check if any other outlets are reporting incidents like these anywhere else in the country. And there is….

And if that weren’t enough, the Census website itself addresses their own explanations for this type of behavior.
From 2010.census.gov/2010census/how/questions.php, accessed June 15, 2010...
Q: I filled out and returned the form but a census taker visited my home anyway.
A: Quality checks are used to assure our procedures are working and that our staff is doing the job they were assigned to do. These checks require that some households be visited more than once. Additionally, if you returned your form late, your response might not be logged before a census taker is sent out.
Q: Why does the census taker visit my home more than once?
A: Census takers visit local homes up to three times to record resident information for 2010 Census. The census taker leaves a door hanger, featuring a phone number, each time, if the residents they're trying to reach aren't home. Residents can then call the number to schedule the visit. In addition, quality checks to ensure that census procedures are working and census staff is doing their job will require that some households be visited more than once.
I find it powerfully interesting that the FAQ’s for the 2000 census didn’t even include or address visitations, much less multiple visits to “check their work.”

The issue of people having to nark on their neighbors isn’t even addressed at all on the 2000 or 2010 census. This is an added feature to “justify” the Obama administration’s propping up their unemployment numbers for political purposes. Obama seems to think that he can get by exploiting technicalities and crafting illusions through them to make himself, his administration, and his party which is in complete control of everything at the Federal level look good. But is it working? I guess only time will tell, and the election of 2010 will be a clear indicator as to how people will respond to reality or illusion.
